This is me approximately a year apart doing the same exercise, Coach Laura. The difference? My mindset. I have always been active but I ate what I wanted and didn’t practice mindfulness. Last year I promised myself that I would take better care of ME for ME. Working out has never been an issue for me. I have been disciplined to go even if I’m not feeling my “best” because any movement is better than no movement. I eliminated a good portion of sodium and sugar from my food and started to practice gratitude. Now, doesn’t seem like a lot but there was a lot of environmental stress on my body. After becoming more in tune with my mind and practicing being kinder to myself, getting better sleeps (which I have had to practice) fueling my body better( keep in mind I am all about balance and I still treat myself but everything in moderation) I noticed a big shift in. My workouts got even BETTER, my energy, my confidence, my SKIN ... everything. Everything is intertwined it isn’t just about training your body. Your mind is the missing link between where you are right now and where you would like to be. Trust in the process. It is never ending and a constant effort must be put forth but when I look at these photos side by side I think WOW, that strength, mind body and spirit was built... never given and WELL WORTH IT.
